I am worried that I may not measure for my new blind correctly. Can you give me some tips to ensure I order the right size blind?
Many people worry about not measuring correctly so we have our ?5 golden rules' these are:
- Always use a steel tape measure.
- Decide if you want your blind to sit within the window recess (recess measurement) or outside the recess (exact measurement) and measure accordingly. When you order your blind we will ask if you are giving us a recess or exact measurement.
- Always measure in mm's
- Always measure in three places as windows are very rarely ?square'. Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom, and use the narrowest measurement. Measure the height at the right, the middle and the left and use the shortest measurement.
- Look out for obstacles such as radiators, window handles and pipes. If you are concerned these may effect where your blind goes then do use our 'Ask Nigel' feature or call on 0845 241 6898 during UK working hours for help and advice.

How do I measure for a bay window?
Measuring for a bay window is fairly straightforward but the measurements you need to take will differ depending on the window dimensions.
If you drop Nigel an email at yoyoblinds@btconnect.com with your telephone number he will call you back at a convenient time. If you have a digital image of the window and can send us this that would be a great help.
I am very fussy about the colour of the blind I want. How can I make sure that the one I have chosen matches my walls exactly?
As you know the colour you see on our website may differ slightly from the actual colour of the blind. To make sure you get it right we suggest that you order samples of the fabrics you like. Once you have the samples you can see which is the right one for you.
Do you sell blackout blinds and does this mean that I have a limited choice of fabrics?
We sell a number of blackout roller blinds and the full range can be seen within the Roller blind section follow the link to ?Blackout blinds'. However if you want a wider range of fabrics you can buy any Roman blind and choose a blackout lining. Please note that blackout blinds do allow a minimal amount of light through at the edges of the blind. For maximum blackout we recommend a blind that sits outside the window recess.
